In Daniel 4, King Nebuchadnezzar is confronted with a powerful lesson about pride, humility, and the sovereignty of God. Even though Nebuchadnezzar is one of the most powerful men in the world, God reminds him that no earthly kingdom or human achievement compares to the authority of the Most High.
This chapter challenges us to examine our own hearts. Pride can convince us that we are in control, that our accomplishments are ours alone, and that we don't need God. But Daniel 4 reminds us that God is sovereign, He opposes pride, and He lovingly calls us to humility.
In this message from Appleton City Fellowship, we will look at Nebuchadnezzar's dream, his downfall, and ultimately his restoration as he recognizes that "the Most High is sovereign over the kingdoms of men."
The question for us is simple: Are we living as though we are in control, or are we willing to recognize that God is?
